Working principle
During normal drilling or well repair operations, according to the operation requirements, the corresponding gate is in the open state, allowing drilling tools or other equipment to pass through the blowout preventer normally.
When the pressure in the well increases abnormally or there are signs of well kick or blowout, the operator quickly starts the corresponding gate closing procedure through the control system. The hydraulic or pneumatic drive piston pushes the gate to move toward the center of the wellhead, and the seal on the gate is in close contact with the wellhead pipe or casing to form a sealing barrier to prevent further outflow of the fluid in the well.
By accurately controlling the closing force and sealing pressure of the gate, it is ensured that a reliable sealing effect can be achieved under different wellhead pressure conditions.
At the same time, the control system can also monitor the working status of the blowout preventer and the wellhead pressure in real time, providing accurate information for operators so that further measures can be taken in time for well control operations.
